Are the tax receipts correct?
Yes. Hibox separates what someone paid from what they received. A gift with nothing in return is fully deductible, a program fee is not a gift, and an event ticket that includes a meal is only partly deductible. Receipts show the correct deductible amount and are sent automatically after each payment.
Can fundraising staff see private information about the people we serve?
No. Permissions work field by field, so fundraising staff cannot see case notes, health details, incident reports, or other sensitive client information. Program staff can see whether a fee is paid, but not gift history. Names and photos of the people you serve are only used in fundraising materials when consent is on file, and contact limits apply to every message.
What payment processor does Hibox use, and are there extra fees?
Hibox uses Stripe for card and bank payments. You pay Stripe’s standard processing cost, and Hibox does not add a markup on top. Donors can save a payment method for monthly gifts, and failed payments are retried with a notice sent automatically.
